Indian Costus or Qust al Hind (also known as Qist, Qust al Hindi, Costul Hind, Kuth, Kushta or by its botanical name Saussurea Lappa). It is used to treat health issues such as asthma, migraines, allergies, stomach issues, skin issues and male impotency issues.

Can also be used for Ruqya to expel magic or jinn.

1. In Arabic it is called as Qust.

2. In English it is called as Costus.

3. In Hindi & Sanskrit it is called as Kusth.

4. In Latin it is called as Saussaurea lappa.

Mentioned in the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ namely Tibb Nabawi (i.e. Medicine of the Prophet ﷺ) it was mentioned as having 7 cures:

The Messenger ﷺ said, "Use this 'Oud al-Hindi (Indian Costus) because it contains 7 types of cures, it is sniffed by the one having throat trouble, and is put inside the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy". [Saheeh al-Bukhari (5692)].

There are many ways to use Oud Qust al Hindi (Costus Root). It can be sniffed, made into a drink with honey and water, burnt on coals and inhaled via smoke or mixed/infused into oil to rub onto the body or made into nose drops.
