The Messenger, peace be upon him, was among the greatest of creation in character, and Allah Almighty bore witness to this, saying: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character." Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, described him by saying that "his character was the Quran." In the book "The Noble Man," the author reviews some of his noble and refined qualities, which influenced everyone who saw and knew him.
Overview:
The book is short and light, divided into several sections, and each section discusses a quality or a moral trait of the Messenger, peace be upon him, by mentioning some situations and stories with his companions and the people around him. The narrative language is relatively easy, so the Arab reader will not find it difficult to understand. The book briefly discusses the impact of Islam on the morals of the Companions, and its contribution to the refinement of their morals and behaviors.
What I liked about it:
I liked the name of the book, as nobility is one of the most beautiful descriptions a person can be described by, and who is nobler than the Messenger, peace be upon him? The book serves as a reminder of the good character of the Messenger of Allah, and it encourages adopting his qualities. "The Noble Man" makes you reassess your accounts and your outlook on life.
What I didn't like:
I did not like the lengthy commentary on the stories and situations. The author presents the story then comments on it, and often elaborates in explanation and deduction, leaving no room for your mind or imagination to infer other meanings or ponder the topic. For me, this point made me not enjoy the book much, as there was no room for individual contemplation.
Also, many of the stories mentioned are well-known stories – for me at least, and I wish I had found new stories in the book. If you are familiar with the Prophet's biography or have recently read a book about it, I do not recommend reading this one, as you might find it somewhat boring.
Who I recommend it to: Everyone who needs a reminder of some of the qualities and morals of the Messenger, peace be upon him.

Ali bin Yahya bin Jabir Al-Faifi works as a lecturer in the Department of Sharia and Arabic Language at the College of Joint Programs in Al-Mahala. He joined the university in 1435 AH, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Da'wah, in addition to a Master's degree in Da'wah and Hesbah. He has many distinguished scientific researches, and is the author of the book "Because You Are Allah," "Muhammad, The Noble Man," and other works.
