Product Details

"Mughni al-Muhtaj ila Ma'rifat Ma'ani Alfaz al-Minhaj" by al-Khatib al-Shirbini (died 977 AH) is a book of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) according to the Shafi'i school of thought. In this book, the author explained "Minhaj al-Talibin" by Imam al-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him (died 676 AH). He clarified its meanings, expounded on its concepts and explicit statements, revealed its hidden gems, and brought forth its secrets. It is a moderate explanation, free from redundancy and excessive length, containing evidence and reasoning, clarifying what is relied upon from the statements of al-Shafi'i, his companions, and later scholars, following what al-Nawawi mentions as the most correct and less correct opinions, making the book a primary reference for muftis, students, and others.
Al-Shirbini al-Khatib used to extract hadiths from the books of Sunnah, embellish rulings with numerous branches of knowledge, useful insights, and authentic supplications, and quote from his teachers, commentators of Minhaj, and attribute sayings to their original speakers.
Thus, the book is beneficial and useful, of moderate size, and supported by evidence without comparison to other schools of thought.
