This Book
The purpose of this book is to present to you - O adherent of the Sunnah - a verified, authentic, comprehensive, and categorized litany of supplications in one book.
The purpose of this book is to provide a satisfying answer to some of what the Prophet used to say when he prolonged supplication in times of acceptance, sometimes until his nose was covered until sunset. It is impossible for these supplications to be forgotten or not narrated, as they are part of the remembrance that Allah promised to preserve, and part of the wisdom that he was commanded to convey.
The purpose of this book is to provide the worshiper and the student of knowledge with the authentic and verified material with which our scholars used to supplicate to their Lord in their private litanies, hoping and fearing, weeping and delighting, striving and persevering.
The purpose of this book is to help you bring your heart before your Lord while you are supplicating to Him.
The means to achieve this came:
By classifying and arranging the supplications as the Prophet often arranged them in his supplications. So, litanies of praise first, then prayers upon him second, then seeking forgiveness third, and so on... And through what was written before each litany, with the melody of the soul and the ink of truth, in what we called (O heart, prepare yourself). This, when read by the reader, will make him unable to but bring his heart - by the permission of Allah - with the magnificent words of the litany that follows, so he utters them from the depths of his heart, even if they were from the sight of the eye and the repetition of the tongue and lips.
And through the words of reminder that remind the reader of the greatness of the supplications he said after each litany, in what we called (Remember...), so it brings his heart back to them, until he is satisfied and will not be content no matter how many times he returns, so he moves on to the next litany with greater spiritual readiness and higher ascension, and so on from ascension to ascension, and his Lord has not been absent from his heart.
