Beneath My Hijab

Our society portrays the Hijab in ways much different from what Islam has prescribed. From turbans to headscarves tied around the neck, along with fancy clothes and painted faces, the young Mustimah is faced with the challenge of choosing between beauty and Allah.

This book is based on real life experiences of 11-year-old Khadeejah, who has just reached puberty and learns of the sacrifices she has to make now. She has to strive to find confidence in wearing the hijab amongst other kids her age, hoping to earn the pleasure of Allah.

This book will also serve as an encouragement to other girls like Khadeejah who face challenges as they enter puberty.
