Rumaisa’s Secret Sadaqah

Nine-year-old Rumaisa Haris moves to her grandparents’ ancestral house with her family – a place where cats keep kittens under the bathtub, the curtain rod dangerously wobbles if you hit it too hard with a broom to drive away a lizard, and worst, the hot water supply gets cut off in the middle of winter. Since her mother’s budget can only handle a few repairs at a time, Rumaisa comes up with a brilliant plan to raise money. Will her secret plan work the way she wants, or will it just fall flat?

Rumaisa’s Secret Sadaqah is set in the backdrop of COVID-19 and based on actual events. It aims to teach important concepts of Sadaqah (voluntary charity), being together in hard times, and doing good deeds for Allah only.
